The kit is composed of boards:

  • Deimos – Carrier Board
  • Duino Zero – Master Moduleodule
  • SIM868 – Slave Module

Deimos – Carrier Board

Deimos is a certified Class 2 Carrier Board that allows the creation of electronic devices using exclusively standard modules. It combines the ease-of-use of modules with a reduced form factor, and it has been developed for the Internet of Things (IoT) bearing in mind fast product development. The board also includes a battery management circuit bringing the designer the capacity to make portable devices.

Duino Zero – Master Module

The Duino Zero is a module that contains the SAM-D21 microcontroller, with a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ processor, the IC in which the popular Arduino/Genuino Zero board is based.

The module allows to program the microcontroller by using the Arduino IDE as it were a genuine Arduino/Genuino Zero board. This gives to the user the capability to export easily a project originally made for the Arduino platform and transform it in a modular, tiny and powerful professional product.

GPS-GPRS SIM868 – Slave Module

The GPS-GPRS SIM868 is a module that allows GPRS low speed communication and GNSS possitionining. Even more, it has an optional Bluetooth communication interface. The GPRS part, it is quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS, with maximun speed of 85.6 kbps, available in eSIM and nanoSIM versions. The GNSS part has a low power consumption performance and supports various location applications including GPS, GLONASS and BEIDOU. About the optional part, it is Bluetooth 3.0 compliant (firmware upgrade required). All three parts has a 50Ω UMCC antenna connector for each one.
